Find My Focus Privacy Policy
Find My Focus helps you log whether you could do focused work in the moment. This policy explains what the app stores, where it lives, and what it does not do. It is written to match how the app actually works today.
1. Who is responsible
Find My Focus is developed and published by Steven Deeds. For privacy questions, contact support@stevendeeds.com.
2. What Find My Focus stores
When you log, the app saves:
- When you logged (date and time)
- Energy / capacity for that moment (Easily, If I pushed, or Not right now)
The app also stores on-device preferences you set in Settings, such as your active hours, notification cadence, Patterns lookback, and which Patterns charts to show. These preferences are used only to run the app for you.
Find My Focus does not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, location, health data, microphone, or camera access.
3. Where your data lives
-
On your devices — logs are stored locally with SwiftData
in the Find My Focus App Group
(
group.com.stevendeeds.teaudit). -
In your private iCloud — when you are signed into iCloud,
logs sync through Apple CloudKit in your private database
(
iCloud.com.stevendeeds.teaudit) so the same journal can appear on your other Apple devices that run Find My Focus.
There is no separate Find My Focus server that receives or hosts your journal. Sync uses Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure under your Apple ID / iCloud account.
4. How data is used
Your logs are used only for App Functionality:
- Saving the check-ins you create
- Showing on-device Patterns charts and summaries from your own history
- Scheduling local reminders during the hours you choose
- Optional CSV export you trigger yourself from Settings
Patterns analytics run on your device from your own entries. They are not sent to a third-party analytics product.
5. Notifications
Find My Focus uses local notifications on iPhone to prompt a quick log during your active window. Notification content is generated on your device. The app does not use remote push from a Find My Focus server.
6. What we do not do
- No third-party advertising SDKs
- No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- No selling of your data
- No tracking you across other companies’ apps or websites
- No App Tracking Transparency advertising identifier collection
7. Sharing
Your journal stays with you and Apple’s systems you already use for iCloud sync. Find My Focus does not share your logs with unrelated third parties. If you use Export CSV, the file leaves the app only through the share sheet destinations you choose.
8. Deletion and retention
- You can clear focus logs from Settings on your device. Cleared logs are removed from the local store and, when iCloud sync is active, from your other signed-in devices as CloudKit reconciles.
- Uninstalling Find My Focus removes the on-device App Group store for that installation. Data previously synced to your private iCloud may remain in iCloud until you delete it through Apple’s iCloud / account tools or clear logs while the app is installed and signed in.
- Resetting settings restores factory defaults for preferences and does not by itself delete your focus logs.
9. Children
Find My Focus is a personal productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of Find My Focus after a change means you accept the updated policy.
